Finished off in nearly one sitting. Great sequel and I like that Mike's character arc seems to be moving into a more ambitious phase for him. He isn't "buffeted by the winds of fate", as in the first book where he was very much a reactionary figure, as much as he is making is own destiny and choices now.
Curious how you are going to integrate the next "SJ" book into the series now, but I'll be patient...mostly.
So was that as much fun to write as it was to read? Honestly the parts with Mike's siblings crack me up. His dark elf sisters more than others. Somehow the idea of his sister singing as she slaughters a demon and then claims his head as a trophy to hang on her wall tickles me. I probably need therapy too...
