Okay, my editor did a hell of a job and got the manuscript back to me tonight and I just finished going over it and uploading everything on Amazon. The book is now in review, so I'd say in about 4 to 8 hours from now (11pm Central Daylight Savings time or 5AM UTC) it should go live.
Remember to tell all your friends :-)
Now on to the next Wives Tales.
Thanks! Looking forward to it. Hope you had a good Christmas without too much back pain.
ReplyDeleteAwesome thanks for going the extra ...
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Take good care of yourself! I'm so excited for this!
ReplyDeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteHow long does it take for an ebook to go live? I've seen that your earlier stuff comes out in like 10-12 hours max...
ReplyDeleteUsually 4 to 6 hours. This one took 11(!). I guess the holidays slowed them down?
DeleteHere is the link off from Jan Stryvant's Facebook page.

Got it, Read it and posted a review.
ReplyDeleteThe wait and delay were well worth it.
Going to be chewing my nails waiting on the next one!
oh hell mate, the way the book finished I'm not sure I'll have any fingers left by the time the next one is released
DeleteWhen do you plan on putting out the next audible book
ReplyDeletePodium just told me March 5th is the target. The next two 11&12 will be out in April.
DeleteThank you I'm usually really busy so I don't get an opportunity to read your books I gotta read the last couple but you truly picked a great narrator for your books and I can't wait
ReplyDeletePlease make your "books" longer than 300 pages if you are going to charge $3.99 or more for them. A dollar per 100 pages is about right. I don't know about anyone else, but I now make it a point to immediately remove from my recommendations any "novellas" above that price point before even reading the sample pages. Sorry, but I'm retired and a fast reader; it is too expensive to get hooked on a novella series that I can easily get through 2-4 "books" per day. I liked the valens series but dropped out at book 8. Really, only 185 pages for $4 plus tax? That taught me never to binge read and automatically buy the next in the series without checking the page count first.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I don't write novellas, I write novels. Novels are any books over forty thousand words in length. Mine are by a fair amount.
DeleteSecondly, page length is meaningless when it comes to trying to make a word count. Because how big is a 'page'? Pages can be anywhere from 200 to 400 words long, it really depends on the publishing company. For a person who claims to be retired, don't you remember the 60's and the 70's when almost ALL novels were under two hundred pages in length? That was the standard back then.
Thirdly, you can't afford four dollars for a book? Really? How much is that starrbucks coffee you just bought? And that lasts, what, twenty minutes? But I give you hours of enjoyment for four dollars and even though you no longer read my books, you come here and bitch at me? Hell, movies are over ten bucks and they last what, ninety minutes? Do you bitch to the movie companies about their prices? No? Why not?
Fourth, I charge three ninety-nine for my books, because that's what they're worth. Many authors far more famous than I am, charge MORE. Traditionally Published authors, you know, the ones you see in bookstores? They also charge more. Thirteen or more dollars for a book that's maybe one and a half times as long as mine. If I was to be charging their prices, I'd have to raise mine to eight dollars a book!
Fifth: Here's an idea! Why don't you sign up for Kindle Unlmited? Then for only TEN DOLLARS a month, you can read ALL the books you want! Mine included!
Or aren't you ALREADY DOING THAT and you're just here to bitch because you like the sound of your own voice?
You are either a troll or an asshole (most likely both) so do us both a favor and don't read my books anymore. Then you won't have to bitch about paying for them. I can just image how much the people at your local supermarket must love you.
