Debby Downer here. Hope I'm mistaken, but about the cover... Weren't you very descriptive about Sean not being able to wear the armor in human form? Did the cover artist not get the memo?
Blame the artist. Vegas Rules has Roxy in her blonde, human form on the cover. That was Peg in the book. I'll extend artistic license quite far for cover art.
Hehe, I just got around to reading this book and holy shit does the Norwegian grammer does not translate from English hehe. "Den Brune En" is Google translated from "The Brown One", while Norwegians would never add "one" (En) the end of any type of name, instead we would leave it at "Den Brune". "Lord Taser Ansigt" I'm not entirely sure what this is supposed to mean and I'm not sure we have the word "Taser", but I might be wrong, Ansigt meaning face is fine though. Biggest issue is probably "Hunting grounds" since we sure 3 or more different types of the same word while English only has the one hehe. What is this place? Hunting grounds (Jagtområder) Where are we going? To the hunting grounds (Jagtområdene) Is this the the.. ? Yes the hunting ground (Jagtområdet) Is this ? Yes a hunting ground (Jagtområde) My grammer isn't the best in either language but the misstakes really threw me out of the immersion :) If the books translations arnt from Google translate though it probably comes from a older than 30 years since our English schooling SUCKS hehe. Still enjoying the book though, but I figured I'd let you know :)
I could have sworn I read this over twice and fixed the misstakes, but I'm using a tablet with a faulty autocorrect so the sentences seem to be missing parts. Hope it's understandable tho.

ReplyDeleteI stopped paying attention to covers about 15 or so years ago. The "modern" covers rarely have anything to do with the contents of the books.
DeleteI thought it made for a better cover and was a good showing of Sean's growth when you compare this one to the first one.
DeleteI liked the cover with Sean as fully human in armor despite any inconsistencies.
