Niall Teasdale is the first that springs to mind Mickey Chandler, David Weber, S E Smith, B R Kingsolver, Guinevere Hart, William Arand (and his alter-ego, Randi Darren), Daniel Schinhofen, Ben Medrano and so many more - and that's just the modern authors!
First would be E. William Brown, unfortunately he has not many books out. Aside from him would be William D. Arand (and alter ego), Micheal-Earl Scott and Benjanmin Medrano.
Oh yeah, love E William Brown. Alice Long 2 has been 'almost done' for a year and there's no indication that Daniel Black 5 has started, so I'm mostly hoping I'll get to read another book of his within the next decade or so
just like whenever someone asks what is my favorite films, I get super indecisive, and just start listing ones I like. Will Arand, Patrick Rothfuss, Robert Jordan (can't say I'll win any originality points but those are the first ones that come to mind)
William d arend (and randi darren), micheal scott earle (almost exclusivly for tamer and space lion series), E william brown (exclusivly for daniel black), kurtis eckstein, writer annebell (writes a series called home for horny monster girls), daniel schinhofen, and last but most definitely not least, mahan vasiliy the author of the way of the shaman series
For me four authors share the top spot primarily because of one or two series/books theyve written that stand out above everything else out there, with the rest of their works standing out as well, just to lesser degrees. First Frank Herbert because of the Dune series and The White Plague. Arthur C Clark for the Rama series and Childhoods End. Anne McCaffrey for anything Pern. And last, Elizabeth Moon for Vattas War series and The Deed of Paksenarrion, which barely edges Dune for the title of favorite book.
I pursued your recommendations for Arand, and I've really enjoyed the breadth of his work, including the books published under his alt name.
I've also picked up some enjoyable work from Dakota Krout, Carrie Summers, MH Johnson, Eric Ugland, Jay Boyce, AF Kay, Sever Brony and Schinhofen all after the Valens-verse convinced me to buy Kindle Unlimited,
I still find myself buying Will Wight's Cradle books, Stormlight from Brandon Sanderson and the Prey books by John Sandford.
My all-time series is Malazan Book of the Fallen by Erikson.
Reading the newest Cebelius right now. David Weber John Ringo Larry Correia Lois McMaster Bujold Sarah Hoyt Jerry Pournelle David Drake Michael Z. Williamson
Craig Alanson has been really good though the latest Skippy book really cheesed me off the rails on that one. William Arand (both sides of that coin AKA Randi Darren). Daniel Schinhofen, I'm adding in Ben Medrano today after so many other mentions. Mike Scotte Earl for the Tamer series.
Blaise Corvin of course. The VeilVerse books have been excellent by all 3 of you authors.
Some dude named John Van Stry or Stryvant, something like that...
Schinhofen, Chris Nuttall, Terry Mancour, E William Brown, John Conroe, Michael Chatfield, Marian G Harmon, Elliot Kay, Tony Corden, Tao Wong, Apollos Thorne, M H Johnson, Jeffrey Haskell and Jason Cheek. Been reading a lot of LitRPG lately which is reflected above.
Patrick Rothfuss, Matthew Woodring Stover (Acts of Caine), Robin Hobb (Farseer), Brandon Sanderson, Steven Gould (Jumper), Terry Goodkind, Brent Weeks, Blaise Corvin, Shemur Kuznits, Elliot Kay, Jason Cheek, Michael-Scott Earle, Will Arand/Randi Darren, Aleron Kong, Travis Bagwell, Edward Brody, Daniel Schinhofen, Rick Scott, Cebelius, Archibald Bradford, Michael Chatfield, Mike Truk, Tom Larcombe, James Osiris Baldwin, M Tefler, to name a lot of many more…..
Daniel Schinhofen. Besides you, he seems to be the most consistent producers of good books. While I like the harem aspect of the genres, most of the other authors don;t seem to have much practical experience, or else they just don't do any research.
